Manufacturing scope

Large forms made practical to produce and install.

Feature structures often begin as a smooth visual form, but manufacture requires a clear frame, repeatable geometry, concealed joints and a realistic route through the building.

We develop the form into controllable sections, determine how curves close, plan where modules connect and trial assemble critical geometry before finish and delivery.

Typical forms

Structures that shape a room.

The exact structural method depends on size, support, access and finish. Common directions include:

01

Booth canopies

Over-seat frames and curved covers coordinated with seating, headroom, lighting and adjacent finishes.

02

Enclosure structures

Birdcage, oval and circular frames designed for openness, stability and safe occupied use.

03

Curved portals

Arches, frames and transition structures developed from continuous curves into manufacturable segments.

04

Illuminated features

Metal frameworks with concealed wiring, diffused light and planned maintenance access.

Engineering questions

Geometry, stability and access must agree.

01
Where does the structure carry load?Base rings, overhead fixings, braces and connection points are developed around the actual support condition.
02
How do repeated curves meet?Individual members may be accurate yet accumulate error at a closing ring or joint; trial fitting resolves the assembly as a whole.
03
How will the form enter the space?Large structures are divided around doors, lifts, corridors, crane access and container dimensions.
04
Can joints remain visually quiet?Module seams are aligned with decorative bands, changes in direction or other features that reduce their visual impact.

The Barcelona restaurant project required a large seating enclosure to close cleanly at the top while remaining modular for transport. Its final top ring was divided into four sections with screw-locked connections, and the complete structure was trial assembled before packing.
