SELECT THE MATERIAL FOR THE ASSEMBLY

Understanding Decorative Metal Mesh

Compare the pattern at the intended scale

Start with an FM reference and compare the opening, strand direction and photographed colour. View the pattern at both close range and the expected distance across the space. A dense weave and an open grid can create different visual boundaries; confirm the selected mesh with a sample rather than assigning a privacy level from the photograph.

Coordinate mesh and frame

For a complete partition, FABRITERA develops the metal frame and fabrication details around the selected mesh. Show which edges remain visible, the required pattern direction and where the mesh meets the frame. Framed sample photographs do not set the final frame section or fixing method.

Choose the material and finish together

The source catalogue describes stainless steel, aluminium alloy and copper, with several colour treatments. Confirm the metal and treatment for the selected reference, together with the surrounding frame finish. A photographed warm metallic colour alone does not identify the alloy or coating.

Define the panel and its interfaces

Send the overall width and height, panel divisions, quantity and intended use. Mark any curved sections, exposed edges and fixing positions. Wire or strip size, opening and mounting details are confirmed for the chosen mesh and assembly; exterior use also requires review of the project environment.

Questions to help your selection

Am I choosing mesh or a complete partition?

This library helps you select the mesh appearance. Use the decorative metal mesh partition page to discuss the complete framed product, including its layout, frame finish and connections. FABRITERA develops the custom metal frame, mesh integration and fabrication details for that product.

What should I include with an FM reference?

Include the full FM code, intended product, approximate dimensions, quantity and a drawing or reference image. Indicate pattern direction, visible edges and the preferred frame finish. These details help connect the material choice to the fabrication brief.

Bring the mesh reference into your partition brief.

Send the FM code with the overall layout, approximate dimensions, quantity and frame finish. A reference image is enough to begin the discussion; the selected mesh and its connections are confirmed during fabrication detailing.
