Vibration Stainless Steel Finish
Vibration stainless steel has overlapping, irregular polishing marks that form a multidirectional texture. Explore this non-directional visual family when a single long grain is not the intended surface character.

Understanding Vibration.
Overall grain density, texture consistency, touch conditions and colour.
Appearance & process
Vibration is a multidirectional polishing finish with overlapping, irregular grain rather than a single brushing axis. This finish is also known as non-directional satin or angel hair. A consistent visual texture is still important, even when individual marks are random. The finish can be combined with colour; a black or gold reference describes the combination of texture and colour, not a different polishing family.
Visual characteristics and advantages
The grain distributes its visual character across several directions, making texture rather than one continuous axis the focus. It can provide a consistent overall surface character across a group of components, while the individual polishing marks remain irregular.
Selection considerations
Agree the overall grain density, reflection and colour across the proposed assembly. A random pattern is assessed by its visual character rather than an exact repetition of each mark. Include visible welds, returns and panel boundaries when reviewing fabrication and finishing.
Architectural applications
Discuss vibration finishes for decorative wall panels, entrance components, display surfaces or furniture metalwork in restaurants, hotels and retail interiors. For a multi-panel feature, consider the overall density of the grain and its relationship to adjacent finishes. Describe touch, cleaning and exposure conditions as part of the project brief.
Fabrication considerations
Include panel arrangement, joints, returns and exposed welding areas in the drawings. Confirm how the selected texture is to continue onto adjacent visible faces. FABRITERA reviews cutting, forming and joining alongside the finishing requirements. Where repeated parts are needed, record an agreed visual reference for the overall texture before production.
Questions to help your selection
What does non-directional stainless steel mean?
In this family it describes polishing marks that do not follow one continuous brushing axis. The overall grain density and appearance still need to be agreed for the project.
Is angel hair always identical to Vibration?
Angel hair is a related supplier term for a fine multidirectional appearance. Compare the actual reference, because terminology alone does not define identical grain or reflection.
Care & protection
Anti-fingerprint treatment can be discussed for selected Vibration constructions. Treat this as a separate requirement rather than a property of every Vibration reference. Ask for cleaning and surface protection guidance for the actual colour and treatment supplied.
What to share with us
Send the selected reference code with a drawing, CAD file, rendering or reference image, approximate dimensions, quantity and intended environment. Mark the visible faces and explain how the component will be used. If you have a material grade, colour sample or cleaning requirement, include it. FABRITERA reviews the manufacturing details and confirms the agreed finish and colour reference for the proposed component.
